MissionThe American Red Cross Club at UT Austin aims to support and comfort those suffering in our community, both local and abroad, in the face of crisis while promoting the education of our peers to promote their personal well-being and awareness with the ultimate goal of inspiring more people to join us in community service.
|
ProgramsFor the past 15+ years, the American Red Cross Club has hosted many university-wide educational programs to provide the skills needed for more people to help those in our community. Our Mass CPR program, the flagship event of the club, has attracted over 1,000 UT students and staff members to become CPR and first-aid certified. In addition, American Red Cross Club members are eligible to undergo training to join the official Red Cross Disaster Action Team that responds to local residential emergencies and disasters.

ServiceOne of the foundational pillars of our club is the service we provide to our community. Throughout the year, members of the American Red Cross Club engage in various volunteer service projects and fundraising events that have included working in food pantries, providing smoke alarms for neighborhoods at risk, and helping to maintain elementary school gardens in less privileged areas.
